OT: The Express
The movie "The Express" (about Ernie Davis and the Syracuse football national championship season) is on BET right now. As much about racial integration in sports as it is about football. Good movie.

The express was a great movie. It could have been better imo as I didnt like the ending. I wanted to see more of his personal battles with his sickness. Some of the facts were a little fuzzy, like what supposedly had taken place at WV. Many WV fans took issue with them being shown in such light.

LOL - I thought the WVU part was the most authentic part of the whole movie! 05-stirthepot

With WV's bad behavior reputation, one would think the movies portrayal was just par for the course.

Ernie was a saint. The movie was entertaining but it could have been so much better. A few hilarious goofs on the movie: Wrong scores posted on games and Ernie's folks watching the Cotton Bowl on their front porch in Elmira, NY like it was summer.

west vu has been by far the worst atmosphere I have been too(and that includes uk-ant). I will never forget how my and my family were treated in morgantown.

I hate to be disagreeable but I thought "The Express" was a really terrible movie. It was just waaaaay too cheesy for my taste. That is a very interesting story and they missed the most interesting parts, IMHO. I would definitely not recommend it to others.

I actually felt that way the first time that I saw it, but I really liked it the second time. Go figure.

Maybe there was just too much going on at Syracuse that year to squeeze it into just one movie...?

RE: OT: The Express
1. i feel bad for wvu fans. that never happened. in fact syracuse didn't even play at morgantown that year.

2. the best part of the ernie davis story was his positive attitude/inspirational speaking after his diagnosis which the movie totally ignored.

3. and as mentioned above ==> the filmmakers need a geography class with regards to the watching the cotton bowl on TV outside part.
