ESPN: Bortles-mania has begun in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Even though the guy isn't supposed to play this season, Jacksonville Jaguars fans have quickly embraced quarterback Blake Bortles.

That was evident by the 2,054 fans who piled onto the practice fields adjacent to EverBank Field for the first day of the team’s two-day minicamp Friday afternoon. And by the noise they made when Bortles jogged through the blocked-off walkway onto the field.

I have a question to the UCFers... Assuming you live in central/northern Florida and not currently a Jags fan, will having Bortles turn you into an actual fan? Like I follow the Cowboys (because of Harris) and Jets (because of CJ), but I am not a fan of either team.

Will he make you create/change allegiances?

I am a Seattle Seahawks fan living in Tampa, FL.

I will watch the Jaguars this year. I won't be allied to them, but just the fact they took Bortles AND Storm Johnson makes me intrigued.

I'm don't follow any particular NFL team too closely, so the Jags drafting Blake and Storm gives me a reason care about an NFL team.

Honestly I'm considering it.

I moved to Jax last year for work. I grew up a Dolphins fan and have stuck with them even though there hasn't been much to root for. It's really hard to find a place that will show Dolphins games in Jax. I think I'm going to wait till he's the full-time Starter before I change allegiances.

I will be at the Pre-Season games, I'll be in UCF gear.

I will turn into a Jax fan and I'll attend a game if he ends up playing.

I have historically not cared at all about the NFL. Professional sports don't do it for me like college ones do. I chose to follow the Jags when I started going to UCF, but quickly became disinterested in them like all the other teams. Now that Bortles and Storm have been drafted there, I feel compelled to give them a second chance.

Even after 2 years in Louisiana, I can't muster up much excitement for the Saints, despite everyone in the state being completely obsessed with them.

I will never change allegiances. I've been and will remain a Miami Dolphins fan (Dolfan). Having said that, Bortles, Johnson, and Maag give me a reason to now watch Jags games as well.

I'm not a Jax fan...Go Chiefs! Anyways, living in CFL forces the JAX games upon us. At least now there's a reason to actually watch their games. They did well in the draft, so I hope they turn that into victories, soon.

Long-time Cowboys fan here. But Jerry Jones' act has grown tiresome and with Bortles & Storm going to Jax...I will definitely follow the Jags. Can't completely turn my back on Dallas though.

Jacksonville is the best option for Bortles as he gets to stay close to home and give them hope for the future

I'm a Giants fan living in Cowboys country. Giants are my one and only NFL team but I will be watching and cheering for the Jags whenever I can.

I already bought a ticket to the jags / browns game the night of the draft. The price of a ticket 2 rows behind mine is now double on reseller sites then what I paid for it. Orlando is also zoned tv wise for the jags so I would say it would be impossible for the Orlando jags fan population not to grow exponentially.
