This isn't the ideal time (I do wish him well and successful procedures and recovery), but I think the 49ers need some new blood in the basketball program we seem to be stuck at a hump and can't get over it. If he can't be ready to go by the fall semester, may be we start thinking about replacing him.

If he can't return, I'm assuming we'd just promote Ryan Odom and see how he does. We promoted him to AHC a week or two ago, probably because of this.
