Buffalo will play the winner of this game Thursday at 4:30.

Kent St. will play Ball St. @ 8:00 p.m.

In the first elimination game, BG will play WMU at 9:30 a.m.

The second elimination game at 1:00 p.m. will feature Miami vs. the loser of CMU-Akron game going on right now. Akron leads 4-0 still batting in the top of the 2nd.

Akron beats CMU 9-6 after a lengthy rain delay.

Here is Thursday's schedule:
Western Michigan at Bowling Green 9:30 AM
Miami (Ohio) at Central Michigan 1:00 PM
Akron at Buffalo 4:30 PM
Kent State at Ball State 8:00 PM

The format is the double bracket format they have used the last several years:

WMU, BG, KSU and Ball St will play down until three teams have lost twice. The last team standing will advance to the championship game.

Same for Miami, CMU, Akron, and Buffalo.

If the two teams in the championship game are both undefeated or both have one loss, they will play a one-game championship. If one team is undefeated, the team with one loss will have to beat them twice to win the championship.

Championship game(s) will be Sunday.

#8 WMU rallies for 4 in the top of the 9th and eliminates #5 BG 7-4. They will play Friday afternoon vs. the loser of tonight's KSU-BSU game.

Miami-CMU next at 1:00.

Great job by WMU to come back against the defending champs Bowling Green. I got home in time to watch the 9th inning of the game. Let's hope we can keep that momentum going into next game.
