C-USA Baseball Tournament Seeding
Rice is definitely the No. 1 seed with UAB and USM apparently the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds. If ODU, UTSA, MTSU and FIU all wind up at 17-13 when the day is over, who will be seeded No. 4, No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7? Right now ODU is 17-13 and UTSA, MTSU, and FIU are all three at 16-13, and it looks like:
1. Rice
2. UAB
3. USM
4. ODU
5. UTSA
6. MTSU
7. FIU
8. ECU
Anybody got a clue?

If all 4 tie then I think, that they would be, in order, ODU, MTSU, UTSA and FIU. I have not the patience nor the inclination to type the explanation. If I'm wrong then mock me but at least I took a shot.

ECU beat UTSA today. If FIU and MTSU both win, it looks like it comes out MTSU, ODU, FIU, UTSA. I guess we will know for sure soon enough.

That first game we lost to them was a 1-0 game. Solo HR bottom of the second the difference.

I think the Monarchs have good reason to believe they can do well in this tournament. Against the seven other teams, the Monarchs did not get swept in any series. They lost the series to three teams: Rice, UAB and MTSU. They won the series with three teams: FIU, ECU AND UTSA. They did not play USM.
As TedHead pointed out, one of the losses to MTSU was a 1-0 loss on a solo homerun. Against Rice, two of the games went into extra innings. The only series that was a little bit ugly was the home stand against UAB, and that was the only home series the Monarchs lost.
All in all, this Monarch team very much deserves to be in the tournament and can very well end up in the championship game if they play well with minimal errors.
GO MONARCHS!

I saw a bus loading up outside "The Bud" Sunday just after noon. Do you mean to tell me that they were going to do a 14-15 hour bus ride to Hattiesburg and then play a game at 9:00am Wednesday? That would be great motivation to put off the return trip for as long as possible. Good the tournament wasn't in El Paso!

Could be the bus taking them to the airport, it's how they did it for Basketball.
