Hope it's not on the Pac12 Network. That thing has very limited availability outside of the PAC12 footprint.
Sorry, but I'm thinking that game's a lock for PTN. The first 2 weeks are very crowded already - not many TV slots left. At least you get a nice trip to So Cal out of it.
Last time we were in Los Angeles (1991), we beat USC. I'm flying out there and driving back. The trip will include my first visit to the Grand Canyon.
I've been around the world and seen many things, but only three things have taken my breathe utterly away the moment I saw them, and two of them were the Sistine Chapel and the Grand Canyon.

Not sure if we are only counting games that are actually part of the AAC TV deal only but ECU @VT has been announced for 12 pm on 9/13 and will either be on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2 per an ECU press release.

It's an easy flight if you can swing a half day thursday at work and friday off. Going to be understandably hard to do the week after thanksgiving though.

RE: Known National TV Games (so far)
Available CBSSN GOTW times from Matt's Sports Media Blog.
Quote:* CBS Sports Network is supposed to air around 13-15 American games. I'm unsure whether CBSSN will have games off the top or if they will select games through the 12 day selection process. It would make sense if they were set during the 12 day process as ESPN would also be choosing games. CBSSN, in terms of subscribing households, has less than any of the ESPN platforms, so if there was a 12 day process, they may receive a choice before games are set aside for ESPN3.
These are open slots they could fill. There are around 20 of them, but they won't all be used:
8/28 (Thursday) - could be for Tulane at Tulsa
9/6 (3:30pm)
9/13 (3:30pm)
9/20 (12pm & 7pm)
9/27 (12pm)
10/4 (7pm)
10/11 (7pm)
10/18 (3:30pm)
10/25 (after 4:30pm)
11/1 (12pm, only if Air Force at Army is not on CBSSN)
11/8 (12pm)
11/15 (7pm)
11/22 (3:30pm & 7pm)
Black Friday 11/28 (12pm)
11/29 (7pm, but only if they have no other men's basketball event conflicts)
12/6 (all day)

Another addition for ECU the ECU-South Carolina game on September 6th will be at 7 pm on either ESPN2 or U. ECU is going to be very visible the first couple of weeks with that game, the VT game on either ABC/ESPN/ESPN2, and then the UNC game which I'd expect to end up on an ESPN network as well.

I don't know how the pecking order for CBSSN games goes, but if UNC is as good as I expect they will be unless we were to somehow get crushed by both USC and VT I'd expect it on some sort of ESPN network.

Memphis @ UCLA - SAT 9/6, 7 pm PT (10 pm ET), Pac-12 Network.
Late game on the East coast, but awesome if you can be there in person. Fair warning: UCLA is going to be REALLY good this year.

That game has been on ESPN every year we've played. I wouldn't expect any differently this year.

Right. I think the this represents only about 16 games of our contract. I think you will see about 10-20 more AAC home games on ESPN networks along with 15 more Saturday games on CBS-Sports Network. This list represents only about a third of the total AAC home games to be on national TV. That doesn't include away OOC games that will be televised. Also, supposedly 3 or more games will be on ABC. When we look back on the season the list of nationally televised AAC games will be quite long.
Exactly. This is just a drop in the bucket as far as the final total. What this does, however, is give you an idea of which games are appealing to national TV even before anyone knows which teams are having a winning season.
Maybe, but there might also be a stipulation that every team appears a certain number of times, and this list could reflect that.
Also, we are using the term "national TV" loosely here. Traditionally, I think most associated that with being broadcast not just in every state, but also on a major network. Meanings have been blurred with the rise of all these cable and satellite channels and packages, but still, there is a difference. Heck, over the air on CBS, ABC, NBC, or FOX is still better than ESPN.
Then why does ESPN get higher ratings for some games vs those on NBC (Notre Dame) and almost every week on FOX (Pac-12)?
You troll so much, you can't even think logically now.
Well, I have to agree with KnightLight for once.
There's no real discernible difference between ESPN and the over-the-air networks at this point in terms of ratings. It's fair to consider them to be interchangeable. However, there's definitely a big drop-off to ESPN2, and another big drop-off to ESPNNews/ESPNU/etc.
In terms of tiers for national TV, I'd look at it this way:
TIER 1
ABC
CBS
NBC
Fox
ESPN
TIER 2
ESPN2
NBCSN
FS1
TIER 3
ESPNU
ESPNews
BTN
SEC Network
FS2
CBSSN
