I'm not a fan of the helmet. I understand it is designed to attract the HS crowd.

As for can they play... I think we are still a year away from being middle of the ACC.

Nice try, NC State, but you're going to have to do better than that if you want the ugliest helmet in the ACC!

Evidently this must be the latest experimental designs from Nike.

Miami has a similar one with their 'smoke' uniforms...

Can't say I'm a fan of the new uniform/helmet trends. But then, I didn't like it when they put players names on the back, either, so my vote probably doesn't count for much.

You know how hard the game would be for me if I couldn't see the names! I wouldn't know anyone but the QB and RB.

Suffice it to say that when I came home after my first semester in college and found out my mother had cleaned house and thrown away my leather helmet I was not a happy camper. I was sure it would become valuable one day.

Granted I'm not a fan of the red patch with the wolf eyes on the back, but I really like the "chain mail" look of the rest of the helmet.

I agree that is neat. The two-tone ruins it though. They could've easily incorporated red into the black helmet without making it look like sh*t.
