Akron wins the Reese Trophy
So Akron wins the Reese first time ever since joining the MAC in 92. So they beat us in football which helped them win the trophy. They finished higher than us in hoops. Damn we better win the baseball series. I hope this is an aberration and not the future. Laing never lost to akron

The decline initiated by Lefton continues under Nielsen's watch. My friends within the UofA Athletic Department smell blood in the water and want to bury us. It's only going to get worse.

Never thought I'd say I miss Carol Cartwright.

RE: Akron wins the Reese Trophy
I saw Cartwright at many, many games and she certainly seemed to be interested in winning. Lefton, not so much. During a KSU game at the MAC tournament several years ago, he was seated next to us. He was very friendly and talkative but seemed to have zero interest in the game. He left at half-time because he had a headache. One incident certainly doesn't tell the entire story but his lack of enthusiasm was noticeable
