Nice!

Always good to have great tennis facilities in conference. Here is ECU's:

I love the sound of a well hit tennis ball on an indoor court.

I like the sound of my balls hitting a woman's chin, but that's neither here nor there. 07-coffee3

Really nice, UCF. SMU is building a new tennis facility right now, although it's nothing as extensive as this. Here's our rendering (the building houses indoor courts):

UCF is so fortunate to have the extremely large and quickly growing student body.....and a Florida location. :)

Congrats on what looks like a beautiful tennis facility.

We are fortunate - and hopefully this will help recruiting in some of our least competitive sports.

World class facility. I don't think I am a fan of taking sports off campus essentially. This will be the home of the tennis program.

Wish the main campus had the space to house things like this and the medical school - rather than it being 30min south in Lake Nona.

Agree but I'm not sure tennis is big amongst the student body in the first place. Rowing, golf etc will do better with their niche fanbase that identify as fans of the game than they do with students who identify as fans of the team.

Probably applies to women's basketball too, but what the heck, they can stay

Expansion around Orlando isn't such a bad thing... even if you can barely call it Orlando or Kissimmee..

Yeah, I guess I am not too upset. Makes sense for these types of sports.

Sorry for any Carllion residents, but sometimes I wish that can all be bulldozed and turned into campus property! I guess UCF is inching over with the opening of Northview. That will be in their full possession in 25 years if I am not mistaken.

Press release says it will be the home of UCF tennis teams. Should be close to UCF's new College of Medicine.

UCF is developing a great relationship with Lake Nona...as Lake Nona's managing partner of their 7,000 acre planned community, was one of the sole reasons why UCF was able to get their College of Medicine approved...much of it due to the $20 Million that was donated in land that lead to the start of the Lake Nona Medical City.

Next big move is 10-15K students downtown.

I've noticed our athletics website has been pushing photos of Lake Eola and the skyline...almost foreshadowing.

It's one thing to call yourself "Orlando's team" and its another to finally grow a distinct presence in Orlando and UCF is now doing just that in Orlando's 2 biggest nodes - Downtown and Lake Nona (which is city proper).
