Lead off walk is not a good sign. Hope this does not turn into a walkathon.

UH leads the bases loaded in the top of the 3rd. Still 2-0 Coogs.

I was wondering! At the end of the last half-inning, JP gave the score as 2-2. I'd been in and out and figured I'd missed something.

But then McDowell's blast makes it 2-1 ... so I didn't miss anything ... darn it.

Rice tweeted that the internet is down at the Skeeters park so neither the Rice or UH audio streams are working. Gametracker is still updating somehow.

2 on, 2 out for Stainback in B4. Still 2-1 UH. And he strikes out (he's struggling at the plate since the break - I wonder if Byrd starts there a bit this weekend and they sit him down a game or two??).

In almost every one of our losses to Top 25 ranked RPI teams we have gifted the opposition early runs-- either by not finding the strikezone or by errors...or, as in the 2nd UH game and the first UT game, both.

Ford has been struggling at the plate for the last month. Making matters worse, he never walks.

Good grief--- another walkathon. Why not gift them another 2 - 3 runs.

Mid-week games like this is where losing Stephens for the season and Lemond as his substitute starter have really hurt us. We just don't have that consistent 4th starter. Could be a bad omen for the C-USA Tournament or the Regionals.

You're intentionally walking the bases loaded with only one out, and McDowell struggling to find the strike zone? Sorry, don't get it. You basically forced McDowell to groove one right down broadway...which is exactly what he did, to expected result. Now down 4-1, and still in deep trouble.
