With that being said, anyone want to go in with me on buying a franchise and putting a Bojangles in Harrisonburg? Hburg would really support a Bojangles really well.

RE: New VCU practice facility
I wonder if VCU wished they stayed in the CAA like Bourne said they would?

VCU hires Shaka, JMU retains Dillard and then hires Keaner - decisions have consequences.

Shaka is the luckiest coach ever - just happened to be hired by VCU at the exact moment they decided to have vision and plan.

Also, winning big and consistently makes it a tad easier to have a dedicated vision and plan. I think the two kind of go hand and hand --- make the decision making easier.

Yeah, I was being a smart ass. If being a top 25 program was as easy as having a vision and plan, every team would be in the top 25. Shaka has made that program what it is. VCU had a very solid program for many years, but nothing like this was possible until Shaka and the Final Four run, regardless of any vision or plan. Congrats to the the VCU administration for being smart enough to ride his coattails and making a legit effort to keep him at VCU though.

Exactly.

On the flip side JMU wasted the momentum of 2004-2008.

Now I've bashed the admin with the best of them, but that isn't fair. The stadium was built based on that momentum.

Which is a big waste of money and a huge lost opportunity if we remain FCS.

This comment is spot on. VCU's admin chose to capitalize on their success, while JMU's admin did everything in its power to squander our opportunity.
