Well, seeing as how the big boys can do "anything" NC/Miami etc. And it's all smoke because nothing really happens, it's a waste of time.

So, the $EC has a plurality on the infractions committee.

What could possibly go wrong?

I generally think the BB hatred is misplaced... but I will say that he didn't do jack **** in this role.

Banowsky blew the expansion badly (the teams are fine, just too many of them).
But at this point, his main job is to do stuff at which he's always been pretty good: Bowls and TV deals.

Can he step down from being commissioner?

Why would he step down as C-USA commish ? Isn't he making some fat cash ?

I don't think you get it...

this may be a prelude to his time as commisioner. he may be putting his ducks in a row.

Not so much hatred as dissatisfaction. What, exactly, has he done to make this a better league, more respected and better positioned, other than scrabble to find replacements for all the teams that abandoned the conference? He pretty much had to do that or there would be no conference to be commissioner of, and therefore no paycheck.

BB has done a fantastic job of promoting and helping the schools that pay his salary. The fact that they're no longer members is irrelevant. CUSA is never going to be anything more than a temporary holding place for urban schools on the rise. In CUSA, they build credibility by playing USM in football. It really borders on practice, or exhibition football.

Everybody seems to know this, except for Richard Giannini.
