Rumblings that USF will have a new manager as well. There is way too much talent in the TampaBay area and our facilities are among the best in the country for this program to be consistently mediocre. Louisville fans were right about Prado. Great guy, program builder but can't get your program to the next level.

USF has a very nice baseball stadium and your video and audio setup is great. I also watched the UCF/USF series online and the streaming was top notch. I wish UCF would pull the trigger to upgrade Bergman stadium.

Football, track, golf, and despite being tied with UCF for the regular season baseball title, UH has a better RPI and a better chance of hosting a regional.

Sure, they'll make the cash, but I wouldnt be surprised to see them struggle to reach eclipse 7-5 next year in football. I've seen the early top 25s and they're no where to be found. ACC basketball is obviously no joke either, so say goodbye to those 30 win seasons.

Just ask TCU and Utah how they're loving P5 life. From powerhouses to cellar dwellers. UL already drew good crowds, so they'll see no real benefit there. If anything, the increased propensity of losing will drive away the average t-shirt fan.

If you are praying and dreaming for this scenario to happen, keep at it LOL because we will compete in the ACC for football titles, basketball titles, baseball titles, soccer titles, golf titles, softball titles, etc, etc. Something we have been done throughout our school's history.

BTW is there not a sport we don't OWN Houston in?

Louisville won't have an easy road ahead of them in football. You'll be playing FSU and Clemson every year. It seems like the Atlantic will have two tiers: FSU-UL-Clemson then everyone else.

Kind of like being in the Big 10 East. 03-banghead

Fortunately Petrino has a really good track record at UL, and this time around he hopefully won't be in a hurry to leave.

Wish ECU fans didn't use "next year" so much.

Whats wrong with saying "we sucked this year and will be firing our coach."

That's not the same as saying "oh you wait and see, NEXT YEAR we will be better than all of you!!!"

Ucf just beat #4 FSU. Should be good enough for a lock for ucf if we win at least 2 out of 3 at uconn.

I went to the Sunday game of the USF-UCF series. The Bulls have an excellent facility. Definitely made me a bit envious.

It's all about funding with the stadium renovation. If we had the money, I would love to see the entire facility razed to the ground and start it over from scratch and do it right. Of course, we don't have the money, so we'll have to wait for the current reno plan whenever they can raise sufficient up-front money.

Hate our strategy with the baseball stadium. The expansion looks bad and why waste more on the existing stadium. I agree the whole thing needs to be redone. Bad design from the beginning with the baseball stadium.

This is the stuff that drives me nuts b/c they say we have no money and give Oleary $2 million per year and and additional $1 million bonus. There shouldn't be any reason that we can't do a brand new baseball facility.

i wouldn't call a 7 point game at home owning us, considering yall had a Heisman candidate and 1st round draft pick at QB and we had a true freshman

After seeing the renderings I actually lost my appetite to contribute financially to the project. It's unbelievably horrible. Did someone look at the erector set 2nd level that we added and really say, "that looks great - we need more of that!"

Our baseball program has never been out about next year. Ready to get Memphis back on the schedule for more easy W's!

That 2nd deck is god awful ugly. Doesn't match the rest of the stadium and we are back to adding more metal. To me just do nothing until you can do it right.

You are talking about the ACC, a weak conference. UL should do well. The problem with the ACC, though, is staying strong, as far as football, in the long haul. That will be the test.

I bet that TCU and Utah couldn't be happier that they were rescued from G5 perdition.

Coogs beat Rice 7-3 to complete the season sweep of the Owls. Great RPI win. If they host a Regional over us just by winning a weak CUSA, that'll be a shame.

UH just beat Rice for a season sweep so that should all but end this silly talk of us not hosting.

Hosting is often a function of attendance as much as who has earned it on the field. IIRC, Rice has much better attendance than Houston.

Whether fanboys like yourself like it or not, attendance does play a significant role in hosting decisions, and that hurts Houston. Doesn't mean they won't host, just that it's not a slam-dunk. 07-coffee3

I guess, despite being universally projected to host, Cal Poly is out then.

Our attendance isn't great, but it's not awful either. We were top 40 or so in the country the last I checked.
