Congressman Trey Gowdy, who leads the Select Committee to investigate Benghazi, called a recent press conference. He turned the tables on the media with a series of devastating questions that not one journalist present seemed to be able to answer. The investigation couldn’t be in better hands.
He began by reading several quotes from President Obama stating that “bringing those folks to justice” was his “biggest priority”. He goes on to point out that “No one has been arrested. No one has been prosecuted. No one has been ‘brought to justice’. We don’t even have access to the witnesses.”
He then launched a series of unanswered and vital questions regarding what happened in Benghazi on 9/11/2012.

Q1. Can you tell me why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi the night that he was killed? Do you know? Does it bother you whether or not you know why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi?
Q2. Do you know why we were the last flag flying in Benghazi, after the British had left and the Red Cross had been bombed?
Q3. Do you know why requests for additional security were denied?
Q4. Do you know why an Ambassador asking for more security days and weeks before he was murdered and those requests went unheeded? Do YOU know the reason why those requests went unheeded?
Q5. Do you know why no assets were deployed during the siege? And I’ve heard the explanation, which defies logic frankly, that we couldn’t have gotten there in time. But you know they didn’t know when it was going to end. So how can you possibly cite that as an excuse?
Q6. Do YOU know whether the president called any of our allies and said “can you help, we have men under attack”? Can you answer that?
Q7. Do any of you know why Susan Rice was picked? The Secretary of State did not go, she said she doesn’t like Sunday talk shows. That’s the only media venue she does not like. If that’s true. Why was Susan Rice on the five Sunday talk shows?
Q8. Do you know the origin of this mythology that it was spawned as a spontaneous reaction to a video? Do you know where that started? Do you know how we got from no evidence of that, to that being the official position of the administration?
“In conclusion, Congress is supposed to provide oversight. The voters are supposed to provide oversight. And you are supposed to provide oversight. That’s why you have special liberties and that’s why you have special protections. I am not surprised that the President of the United States called this a phony scandal. I’m not surprised that Secretary Clinton asked ‘what difference does it make?’. I’m not even surprised that Jay Carney said that Benghazi happened a long time ago. I’m just surprised at how many people bought it.”
He still misses what is to me the biggest point of all. On 11 September 2012 there were exactly zero amphibs in the entire Med, per unclassified map provided by DOD in response to a FOIA request. It is almost as if they went out of their way to be unready for this. WTF was going on?

Maybe there was something going on that they didn't want anyone to know about. When the embassy was overrun maybe they really didn't want help to come to aid. Why? who knows?
Remember the two seals that did come to aid and paid with their lives had been told to stand down and they went against those orders to offer aid.
It all seems so odd and does not add up to me either.

I don't think he did that. He's a prosecutor. He knows how to get the defense thinking one way and hit them from a different angle. Those questions were for the media, not the administration.

Someone mentioned earlier that Gowdy should run for POTUS.... not so sure about that... but he would make one heck of an attorney general.

I'm thinking he already knows the answers to some of the questions or has a really good idea what they are. He could be setting a trap for anyone intent on lying.

I really wish Gowdy would run, but I'd bet good money he doesn't. He has said many times that he misses the courtroom, and I imagine that is where he will eventually end up as either a federal judge or even if he has to go back as a prosecutor.

Gowdy has already said he's got some information that will come out during the hearings... and as of yet he hasn't even hinted as to what that is.

That or the old axiom that you never ask a question you don't already know the answer too. A. He clearly kicked that asss in this "press conference" and B. the vast leftwingnut conspiracy machine just kicked into overdrive.
