Western Michigan, Again
Last season Broncos football recruiting got off to a fast start and surprised everyone. Now they've got 11 already including five three stars. Not sure how all of this will work out, but at least in recruiting they are doing something right.

They are cleaning up against Toledo on most of those 3 star players too...almost all of them appear to have a Toledo offer.

One thing is for sure...when PJ gets fired in a few years for sinking the USS Waldo, the new coach is going to have a full cupboard (and a DJ...one of only 4 college programs in the country with a DJ).

I wouldn't worry about it. When was the last time UT had 7 commits in early May?

RE: Western Michigan, Again
WMU is definitely off to another fast start with their recruiting class being almost 50% 3-star recruits at this early stage.

Nobody likes to get beat out for recruits; however, before anybody gets too concerned just remember all those top recruiting classes UT had have not yet produced a single MAC championship, so WMU's success in recruiting does not automatically guarantee that they are in line to be the next dominant football power following in the steps of CMU and NIU .

The most important factor of winning the MACC except a couple of rare occasions (BGSU Defense last year) is that you must have an awesome QB.

You don't think BG's quarterback was pretty good last year?

3,500 yards
25 TD's
7 INT's
64% completions
161 rating
238 yards rushing with 5 TD's

The difference that game was the defense shutting Lynch down.

But they still had to play the season to get to that game. Also, Johnson passed for 393 yards and a MACC record 5 TD's, and had no interceptions. 4 of those TD's were in the first half.

Johnson was awesome that game and outplayed Lynch.

He said awesome but yeah, BG's QB was pretty good. Every other year it took an awesome QB though.

Johnson passed for 0 TD's and rushed for about 2 yds per carry against the Rocket.

When you "row a boat" you advance going backwards. He's traveling the wrong direction.

Yep - isn't rowing the the only Olympic sport where you finish with your back to the finish line? - or at least is intended to be that way. I suppose a marathon runner with a big lead could turn around and walk or run backwards over the finish line. Backstroke is almost like that - but not quite.
