It is true that buildings don't make the church, the school or the team, but it is also true that great results have to start with something tangible as a starting point to support the needed effort. It is called infrastructure (facilities) and its role is as a starting point for results.

You're right. Your team should tear down Bryant Denny and build a children's hospital on the site instead, since the football team will do just as well playing at Tuscaloosa Central.

The new park helped them to recruit a lot of these players. Just ask Marla.

I didn't know UAB played at Bryant-Denny stadium.

I know very much how Marla feels about the stadium and it's effect on recruiting. I just wanted to make sure that the fine folks in here gave credit, where credit is due. (Like to Marla, her coaches, and her team.)

Amazing what happens when you don't have to chase bums out of your dugouts and pick beer bottles (among other things) out of the outfield.

Townsend is a great coach and she's putting a tremendous team on the field, but if you don't think having that arrow in her quiver makes her program a more attractive destination and gets us better players, well, I'd just invite you to look at the results.
