RE: [split] Just heard on the Radio
"I think if anyone on here knew a thing about coaching college hoops, they wouldn't spend their time on a message board, they would be coaching somewhere.

Let the coaches coach...fans should do their job, show up and cheer."

So we don't know anything and should just do their jobs by going to games and cheer. You inferred that we shouldn't share our opinions. What else could you have been talking about? It's not like we're running on the court and telling coach what to do, we're just giving opinions on the internet. You either meant that or just poorly communicated whatever you were intending to say.

So we don't know anything about coaching and should just do their jobs by going to games and cheer. Exactly You inferred that we shouldn't share our opinions. Your ASSumption is incorrect What else could you have been talking about? The simple fact that if you aren't an Ambassador, you have no say on hiring/firing coaches...I'm not saying you can't offer an opinion...just pointing out that opinion means squat. It's not like we're running on the court and telling coach what to do, we're just giving opinions on the internet. You either meant that or just poorly communicated whatever you were intending to say. I'm simply tired of this board being a 24 hour Pastner ***** fest...all being led by a handful of posters (and their aliases)

"About time for Josh to get some help with the on court stuff."

I think that's a pretty stupid opinion...

Well if you're accusing me of being guilty of that then you're only reading what you want to read.

Well, if he can get some epic Xs and Os guy for 90k...sure, why not...but I don't think it's required.

I think he's a good coach with solid asst coaches, as it is.

I mean, I said I thought your opinion was stupid...there's no need to act like that is the ultimate insult or something...It's not like I cursed at your mother or kicked the family dog...I just disagree with your opinion.

I didn't know the word "stupid" is now Smack Board worth.

How am I acting like anything? All I ever did was ask you what you thought was stupid and it took ridiculous back and forth to finally get an answer. Don't pretend like I acted the least bit offended. I was curious and it took this long for you to actually engage in a discussion. As for Josh, I think he's a fine coach but we've had way too many moments where the offense breaks down into AAU mess. Either the message is flawed or it's not being received by the players, I'm open to either one. Saying he needs some help is not saying he can't coach or whatever dramatic spin you want to put on it.

In that case, mea culpa...

I won't lie...hiring Lawson's dad to ensure KJ, Dedric, and Chandler come here is well worth 90k...dude played at LO and UAB, coached at Hamilton.

If you've seen em play, you know more than me...I'll admit I don't follow recruiting too close, and the star ratings are all I have to go on.

I've only seen them once and wasn't blown away. Their highlight tapes are pretty unimpressive too, especially KJ's. I don't understand the hype surrounding him at all. Of course I hope I'm wrong and he's awesome for us but I just don't see it. Adonis looked way better coming out.

and it's not like Lawson Sr isn't qualified...I just wish he didn't make the "pimping" so public.

Of the guys in the area I'd much rather have Skal and Fisher.

I should also clarify my comments to not include Chandler. He's too young to celebrate or criticize. Also, I think Dedric is much better than KJ.
