You left out Cincy tool and all three generate more interest than Rutgers.

Saw that shi+ coming from a mile away. He isn't commenting on talent. He's talking about notoriety. Cincy is good, but fans of teams in other conferences aren't demanding to see home and home series with them. Once past UConn and Memphis, the AAC doesn't have any teams that move the excitement needle for fans of other schools. Sorry, but sometimes the truth is the truth.

We didn't have a conference challenge this year and still managed to get 4 teams in the tournament (should have been 5) and one of them won the whole thing. We have every basketball game on national TV. Do we really need a conference challenge? I think we are probably better off playing the best teams we can schedule and let someone else get stuck having to play a crap team because the league signed on to do a "conference challenge".

should you really be boasting about the aac tourny seeding/selection? aac got screwed big time on that one and highlighted a perception problem.

trying to downplay conf. challenges because your conf. doesn't have one is expected ==> but it is still quite pathetic

the butthurt is so strong here that i dont even know how to respond.

Nothing like a butthurt Syracuse basketball fan. UCONN is in a class with UNC, Duke, and Louisville. Truth hurts.

and yet you guys call me a troll after comments like these03-lmfao

Nothing trolling about it. I'm sure most Duke, UNC, and Louisville fans on here would say the same.

your attempt at trolling is quite pathetic. the trick is to put truth behind your comments so it actually strikes a nerve.

sorry but i am not gonna care for a comment that .01% of college basketball fans take as accurate.

03-lmfao What exactly is wrong about what I said? Please explain why UNC, Duke, and Louisville are not UCONN's peers.

The truth is 4 National Championships.

In what sense? The Big Ten is playing two, one against the ACC, one against the Big East. Surely the ACC, SEC or Big12 could play a second, if they wanted to.

This would seem to be a red herring lead in aimed at talking down AAC BBall.

Exactly. But that's what trolls do.

no one here is debating uconns athletic status with those programs. what is getting debated is the clear stupidity of this lil gem:

There are also only 3.5 worthwhile programs for UCONN to play in the ACC.

Next to the 3 I already mentioned, Virginia if consistent (still TBD) and .5 Syracuse, no one else in the ACC moves the needle. Nothing stupid about that.

pretty much. any sports writer who said that would become a laughing stock.

my runs ins with uconn fans have to do with comments i make that are calling things like i see it. you guys however are focusing on clearly false talking points that no rational uconn fan would even believe as accurate and do so with the intent of malice. hence the reason It doesn't bother me because your comments are so inaccurate that no one takes them seriously outside a couple of people who have clearly been ruined by me.

Note to John: This is a fan forum, not a sports publication. 03-lmfao Given the reaction I got out of you, I'd say I was quite successful in my comment. 04-rock

pitt? notre dame? heck even bc or nc state could have a some appeal there

this is why i have to think of you as a joke poster. considering the rpi benefits, the history, and fanbase demographics there are a good 6-7 ACC programs that uconn would love to play (duke, ville, cuse, unc, pitt, virginia, notre dame) and a few others that would also be appealing in some cases.
