Don't know how to do one on here. Hence I said, "cast your vote in the comments."

One player has far less plate appearances than the other. So I will abstain.

If I'm building for ASU...I take player 2 because a homerun hitter is useless in our park...as was proven again against the Cajuns this weekend. Give me the stolen base guy every time.

How do you know player 1 isn't just as adept at stealing bases as player 2 but wasn't sent as often due to being surrounded by quality hitters that could drive them in?

5-6 vs 18-21. Is 83.3% vs 85.7%. Not drastically different percentage wise. Both players are outfielders with good speed that are capable of stealing bases.

You dont have a park for these players to play in... (softball)

Regardless of your park or not, 13 more HR and 39 more RBI in about 30% more AB's is a massive gap. Nevermind the fielding percentages are way off and the steal success rates are almost identical.

Correction for player 2. Actually 20-24 stealing bases. Same percentage as player 1 at 83.3%.

Where did you get the stats for player 2? I know who you are talking about but those numbers dont look right for average, slugging, etc. I thought they were right the first time.

EDIT: I see the numbers are different on the SBC and school's sites.

Yeah I posted the number from Player 2's school site, but the S-BC site looked to be more up to date.

I dont know which is right. The school website shows all games if you go to the stat link so I'd assume they're all included and has the up to date record on the individual stat link. I trust theirs more than the SBC report which I know has errors

I don't...I'm building as if those were baseball stats and built for our baseball team in its current lineup configuration.

Hey now...we have the 2nd ranked (Club) Softball program in the country.

And I didn't even bother to bring strength of schedule into my original post...

Perhaps I should have said, "who is the better player"?

No need to steal a base after you hit a HR!
