Rutgers really Rutgers-ing it up
Another PR hit in a line of many. This time with Eric LeGrand.

Oh, Rutgers

Enjoy them, Big 10.

Could care less about what happened in the past re: where SU is or isn't. They are here.

As for Rutgers, I'll give Ms. Hermann a pass on this one (some are holding her accountable for this). This was a decision bungled at the very top, not by the AD for a change. She, unfortunately, had to make the phone call to tell Eric his services were no longer required.

I take back the nice things I said about Hermann when She got the Rutgers job. She dropped the ball on this for a political hack job.

She dropped the ball? How does she decide who the commencement speaker is?

Not defending any of her other missteps. I have a feeling that she was nominated by the other cowards who aren't taking phone calls at the moment to make the phone call to Eric that he was out.

And they've since fixed it. He'll be speaking as will the former governor.

Now it sounds like Hermann either passed along incorrect info to LeGrande or never spoke to him directly.

Re-commence Julie Hermann bashing.

RE: Rutgers really Rutgers-ing it up
I'm certain that LeGrand really was uninvited for some political cronyism being engaged in by Robert Barchi. Barchi is a Christie puppet and is just a terrible president. I for one wish to see him gone already. He's doing a terrible job as President of the University. Then when it went public they had to backtrack and have them both speak.

Sadly (or funnily) I've made that joke myself many times. Sometimes I was seriously suggesting they should revoke the invite and realize it's not too late.

Brista, I got to give you credit for always taking the Rutgers bashing in stride. The administration does seem incompetent right now but they'll be gone eventually and Rutgers will still be in the B1G so in the long run none of this really matters.

I'm a realistic optimist. I'm optimistic the future will be bright, but I'm very realistic about where we are at any given point in time and what it will take for the bright future to come about. So naturally, I have to have some levity and a sense of humor about it.
