There is no problem with people looking for a new port in a storm. And certainly many ESPN posters bring value.
But many ESPN refugees have been banned from here at a rather alarming rate. Certainly more Terry Tate / Banhammers recently than in years past it seems to me.
In the spirit of Festivus, here is my problem with the ESPN posters - you have no respect for how csnbbs worked. Awful name calling, quoting HUGE blocks of text, appalling grammar and sentence structure, conversations that take threads off-topic through predictable bomb throwing, etc etc.
Where are the deep thoughts about what activism in the LGTB community mean to Christians? Where are the adult comments about the President's policies? Where are the interesting, non political threads about something cool, fun or interesting?
Listen, trolling us old timers probably makes the ESPN poster smile with glee;
"Look we came, we saw, we conquered csnbbs!" but let me tell you, if many of you had lurked more and adapted some of the more traditional conventions many of us had worked to establish over 10 years of posting, I think the Spin Room would be better today than it currently reflects.
