Did he say he did not recognize the govt or the feds right to own 90%+ of a US state?

Serious Question..

His words:
Quote:"I abide by all of Nevada state laws. But I don’t recognize the United States government as even existing."

If you remember, Mr. Bundy does not even recognize the US Government. First, while he rides around on a horse carrying the US Flag, and second by benefiting from it with the land he and his family now own.

He's just not very smart...except when he teaches his class on Negro studies.

So which of these are the reason you hate him?

I don't hate him. He's just woefully informed about life and history.

And just where did the Government get all of the land from ? Seems They took it from the Indians. Just like They take what They need from individuals today if They desire.

If you work then that's your tax dollars going towards those roads. It goes from the consumer (which is you), to your employer, to you, to your state, to whatever else they "fund" for you, getting taxed all the way down. So you don't actually drive on government funded roads. The state pays the police to protect you, the Fire Dept to put out fires, and EMS services to help you. First you pay though, so it all comes back full circle. I wish I could qualify for food stamps but I make too much, I'd like to at least buy my groceries since I pay for so many others. Driving on my road since I paid for it, and being protected since I paid for it are a given.

That's not all we pay for. We don't see or get to use most of the stuff we pay for, so yes, I do call that getting screwed. We're paying for retards to study the change of the climate while they call it global warming, and are the blame for it all in the same sentence. I don't wanna fund that shiit dude, do you?

C'mon LSU. Ever took a look at China lately? Remember what LA use to look like? How about our waterways? Yes, they overstep sometimes...but if seriously don't think there is any benefit whatsoever from agencies like the EPA you're being totally dishonest.

Actually they took it from the Mexicans. See the Mexican cession of 1848. (All of California, Nevada, Utah and part of Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico & Arizona)

I said "Most of us benefit" in my earlier post. As far as China goes, are you talking about that huge smog cloud they had? That was pretty damn ugly.

I may not agree with all of their findings but yes, I do want my government studying the climate and other things that could effect our future.

I guess the new Liberal talking points are all about subsidies and farms in comparison to welfare. While we are at it, why don't we throw in the minimum wage subsidization and point to the entire population for taking welfare by accepting wages artificially held high because the government thinks that makes sense. Discussion over, we are all government handout takers.

Given that many people working full time are on snap and other government programs couldn't it be argued that wages are being artificially held low? Basically if you are working in the service industry, where most of the jobs are, your employer is being supplemented by the government. A hamburger for $1?

You do know "service industry" doesn't just mean fast food, right?

But, lets say it did. Is that what we strive for? To make the fry cook at Carls Jr a job with which to get married, buy a house and raise a family? Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations.

But alas, this is what we've come to. With the incompetence currently running the show, the normalization of minimum wage jobs as the new "American Dream", is what we have to work with.

Set those goals low, folks. You'll never be disappointed. 03-banghead

And not one of those things is paid for by government. They are paid for by taxpayers, and if you pay your legally obligated taxes, you have already paid your fair share of the cost. So providing those things is just government giving you your money's worth, just like when Mcadonald's sells you a Big Mac.

It is a solid point though. You get positive externalities as a result of taxes. The more the govt takes in the more benefits you get (in theory at least).
