Fracking releases Methane!!!!
That breaking news from the liberal moonbats behind the anti-fracking campaign in NC. They refer to one of the by-products of fracking as EXPLOSIVE methane. What the hell do these moonbats think companies drill for when they are exploring for natural gas? 01-wingedeagle

LMAO. What do they think comes out of their gas stove? Then these clowns claim to be the more intelligent breed.

Hilarious.

*releases methane into the terrain surrounding the fracking area that should not have methane in it

There is a clear difference between cleanly getting it out and having friggin' METHANE in your TAP WATER.

LOL Did you learn this talking point on Reddit?

Methane is non-toxic, but it is explosive. And, at very high concentrations, it can cause death by asphyxiation (since there isn't enough oxygen to get to your lungs). In the chart, the worst sample had 70 mg of methane per liter of drinking water. Can we expect the residents in this house to choke and then explode in a huge burning ball of flames?

No.

Methane in tap water normally seeps there naturally by a process called methane migration. There are studies that claim water sources closer to fracking wells have higher concentrations of methane.

Should this worry us? Not really. Most wells had methane levels that were far below the "action level" recommended by the US Department of the Interior. And, as just mentioned, methane naturally contaminates groundwater all the time.

Decaying plant matter in creeks cause methane to seep into water supplies.

Let me put a glass of water with a high amount of methane in it in front of you. Drink it and let me know how non-toxic it is.

First prove to me that fracking is the reason that the methane is in the water.

Well regardless Ron Rabin is an idiot representing the 12th and if an anti-fracking campaign from an outside group gets him out of office we are all better off.

Yep. Somehow they ignore the depth underground where the fracking takes place and the depth where water is underground. They aren't close and it's not like methane floats up through solid rock. I mean, if it floated through solid rock, why frack in the first place?

but that would not be what is found in drinking water.
