Nothing to see here...

Yeah, I'd say there's nothing on this one.. if he still owned part of the team, then I'd say yes, you should bring this up.

But I'd say since he's got his own sport agency now, shouldn't the NBA make it where he cannot do business with the Association? That would be the equivalent, would it not?

Hey! Whoa! Watch it there now, using logic and reason in making your point!!! That type of talk is like kryptonite to UofMemphis!!!!!!!

As much as Sterling... But I don't see anything about this.

Think if a country star owned part of an NFL team and wore a KKK symbol to a game. Would there be outrage?

I pray that Jerry Jones says something racist. 07-coffee3

I saw a report that "-Hova" & his singing stripper wife had spent like 60 nights in the WH since 09, but can't find it now.

It's just so funny what passes as talent. I'm glad I've never given this clown any of my money. Stupid people have and can be proud that they've made him a millionaire.

Honestly, that's pretty typical rap "lyrics." No clue why anybody would buy this kind of garbage.

RE: Jay Z seen wearing a Five Percent Nation medallion during an NBA game
I think rap music used to be artistic in some form. For example, when it was Tupac and those guys they were actually from the ghetto and were talking about things that happened to them etc in the same way as the blues back in the day. Today however, much of the rap music is simply about pointing out that you have more money than some other person and the people you want to buy your stuff. There isn't any serious artistic or literary value in that. There was in some of the older stuff, and even some today.

Rap music today is largely the musical equivalent of porn.

It's totally dependent on what kind of rap it is. The genre is pretty diverse as far as style is concerned. Outkast might not have the cleanest language but they aren't misogynist, violent, over the top obscene, they don't even talk about money.

The two styles you're talking about is that New York after 1990/West Coast after NWA (I would go as far back as Ice T, but I don't think gangster rap was that popular then).

I'd say that the really questionable stuff fell out of favour when Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, and people like that came on the scene.

These two sets of lyrics you posted were from an album that was supposed to be kind of a rap retelling of Denzel and Crowe's movie American Gangster. Find lyrics from another album.

Why the hell should I care about Jay Z?

He's a terrible musician, who owns a team that plays a terrible sport.

Why the hell should I care what he does?

I didn't care about the rancher either. Some stupid redneck that influences no one **** talks a race? I don't care. And I certainly don't attribute that to the entire Republican Party.

Why is it that you guys, any time you find anything negative, regardless of relevance, blame it on or somehow connect it to the left?

He doesn't own a team and basketball is the REAL beautiful game hockey fan.

He used to be and it was like 1 percent or less.

And no it isn't. Actually there's no such thing as a boring sport. Even baseball.
