Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was issued a citation Tuesday for shoplifting crab legs from Publix, according to multiple sources.

In November, the associated press reported that Winston was questioned about his involvement in a long-running BB gun battle, and that a Burger King reported Winston was stealing soda in a ketchup cup.

The timing of the citation is interesting given that the NCAA recently approved unlimited meals for student athletes.

It's hard to believe that someone who's been in the public spotlight for alleged misdeeds so much in the past year would do this yet here we are again with Jameis Winston.

He needs to change before his seemingly bright future turns dim.

What a shocker! A kid with obviously schitty character makes yet another poor decision. I'm positively blown away by this news and I'll be equally as stunned when he gets into yet more trouble later this season.

There's something really fishy about this story coming out like this. If he did all of this, it is a really dumb and shellfish decision. I'll wait until the story gets more legs

Kind of butchered that. The shoes were free, dog.

But Winston needs to be smarter than this and now he clearly has a tendency of doing stupid ****. He's got that "Manziel disease" he commented on last spring. A press conference over $32+ worth of food is obviously overblown, but that doesn't excuse it. Hope he's able to mature.

Anyways, I've seen a few of these by FSU fans online.

Well, DUH! You should know that ANYTHING Winston does wrong he will be punished during baseball season, NOT football season. DUH!

He's repaying the $30 and has 20 hours community service. No arrest. He's suspended indefinitely until he fulfills his obligations. If he doesn't, and it lingers into football season - spring practice is over, dopes - then something more may come of it. They could "suspend" him but there wouldn't be much to suspend him from.
