UC alum and has headed up the program for 25 years. The university decided not to re-new his contract. Any insight on this?

I think he had a tough job fielding competitive teams without mens scholarships for a number of years due to cuts. Cincinnati has really good local talent but it goes elsewhere for the $ i.e. Marlins, CAC, ABLY, Mason, PCY, etc.

I am sad. Monty lived upstairs in a house owned by one of my best friends in Winton Place. They latter moved to Mariemont (I think). A really good kid.

Maybe he got in deep water...

or the team took a dive...

I had heard it said he was in over his head.

At least he wasn't fired for skimming.
