BE wants TV sets not attendance. How many people in Florida watched tonite. If people in Florida didn't watch than BE has some questions to ask. Why did BE add a Florida team over a georgaphic rivalry that would have added to the experience and attendance. BE could have added Miami, Ohio, Marshall instead of USF and been at 10 teams. That would be an exciting conference with heated rivalries. USF is not the U. USF is like UC, but in the wrong conference USF belong in CUSA. Midwest football is about rivalries. BE needs rivalries like the ACC and Big Ten. USF isn't a rival for UC....thats like playing UAB.......another team with golden helmets that isn't know. Had BE added Miami-Oh......Then you got local interest. Bad year this year for Miami, but they are UC's historic rival. BE needs to build within its footprint. USF was a decision by a TV executive.....not a football fan. College football is about rivalries.

The last people to criticize UC should be Temple and MAC fans.

I actually like Cincinnati. I have family there and love the town and always enjoyed my roadtrips to UC. I am also very curious to watch UC and see how they progress in the BigEast and being in the BCS.

I have followed UC since the late 80's and always scratched my head as to why you guys could not build any momentum in football with a growing school, great recruiting area and a nationally recognized BB program.

UC has everything in place now to take that next step and I would be happy if you did. I still debate the impact of the BCS and how it affects a program. I would love for my school to have those advantages but we dont so we have to look to grow in a different way.

Basketball success typically doesn't impact football. See Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, etc.. UC's biggest obstacle is the success of Ohio State. The only thing that is going to bring out fans is winning the Big East and going to a major bowl.

Sissy my ass there boy. I am just sick of seeing you stir up crap with other posters. You seem to act like we are the best program in the nation and averaging 100,000 per game. My loyalty runs deep for ECU and I do everything in my power to advance her. Monetarily and time I spend alot of trying to advance our program. That being said I think it is time for you to take a chill pill and not try to advance our cause by putting other programs down to build ours up. ECU will soon get our due and then and only then we will be where we belong. You know that and I know that. But there is a right way and respectful way to talk about other programs and what you do is to just try to stir **** up. I have seen it one to many times now and I am calling you on it. I try not to kick the ass of fellow Pirates Hummer. But calling someone a sissy can get one headed in that direction. :chillpill: I understand the point you are trying to make. But there are many times I see you doing it in a way that does nothing but piss peolple off at ECU. I am not kissing anyones ass or anything just wishing you would represent ECU without trying to put others down to make us look better. You and I know that we have decent fan support. We averaged in the mid thirties during the Thompson era when we sucked terribly and have continued averaging in the high 30s for Skip. ECU fans do support our program through thick and thin but personally I think we should be having mid 40s in attendance so you and I have a job to do in concern to our own attendance.

Lets just leave it at this. Represent ECU in a classy way. We can sale our program without putting others down. Whether UC or USF deserved to go to the BE ahead of us is certainly a viable question. But they did and we did not. So lets sale our program the right way. ECU will be ok.

When you post something that makes ECU look good based on what we are doing I will be behind you 100%. But trying to make ECU look good at the expense of other programs and I will not support you. That is the difference between class and no-class. It is that simple.

Hummer I used to be very upset with the fact that we did not get an invite to the Big East. But when I post it is in response to someone bashing ECU not just trying to stir something up. I tell you what we can do. I will start apoll on here and it will be titled Better ECU poster River City Pirate or Hummer. Lets let these folks judge on that one. If they pick you I will sit back and shut up and tell you to carry on. If they pick me then you will agree not to start posts and/or interject on posts to put other programs down.
