I like playing one money game wish we could do away with d1-aa game. Truthfully I wouldnt schedule an sec team for my money game anymore. Would try ACC and B12 team since the two in state teams seem to overlook us.

I would love to hear those exit interviews. I bet they really shed some light on the program's problems.

For those that haven't realized it yet, we have the real thing as coach now. (No, not Coca-Cola)

I don't know about the status of the world, but 2019 will be the 50th anniversary of the founding of UAB in 1969. On December 14, 2019, it is also the Bicentennial anniversary of the state of Alabama entering the United States (22nd state)- the first time.

BTW, Two years later (2021) will be the sesquicentennial (150) anniversary of the 1871 founding of the city of Birmingham.

I would like to try to get Mississippi State and Ole Miss to do home-and-homes with us again. It's nice to see people on the other side of the stadium.

What happened to the Ole Miss return game at Legion Field? Has it been canceled or just rescheduled for a later date?

Originally it was pushed back by us IIRC then it was cancelled for the forseeable as our scheduling philosophy was changing. Don't think we'll see OlMiss for sometime though MissSt seems more than willing to give us a home & home on regular basis vs what other $EC teams are willing to do - mostly say we'll give you a HnH w/ them getting home first but then backing out on the return game otherwise it's just a 1 time home game for them for $$$$

Misstake owed us a home game and bought it out. I doubt we will see any SEC team give us a home game in the foreseeable future. It's about to get harder to play them or any p5 at all much less get a home game.

I would like to see UAB never schedule another SEC game. The SEC schools always buy out of the return trip. Let the SEC schools have their MAC championship, and keep us out of it.

Screw the SEC. Any home and home at this point is good right now.

USA also playing NC State at home (in 2015). Looks like NC State is making efforts to recruit Alabama which is normally the primary reason for such scheduling...

Mississippi State brings a lot of people. I think it's cool. I would rather not screw them, but I would love to see Georgia Tech come to town too. Georgia Southern might travel well too.

The monetary deal with ESPN for the new SEC Network means the SEC will never again play a non-conference road game against a non Power-5 conference because it has no reason to. It can afford to pay anyone -- including many teams from the other power conferences, none of which will make nearly as much money as SEC schools over the next 10 years -- to come to them. Even the new "BCS schedule" the SEC announced yesterday, with each team playing a team from a power conference, has most of those games as neutral site games instead of home-and-homes to keep the playing field more even and not give the opponents a home-field advantage.

Don't play games against sec anymore. Wasted games. If we are trying to get to bowl games, then play teams we can compete with. I like the agreements to play against Troy, USA, GSU.
