I'm just glad Warde is talking expansion at the Rent. Getting up to 50k seats would be awesome if the demand is there.

While many make fun of Professor Carstensen, he has the ear of those who govern the state of Connecticut. A lot more so than someone with more detail knowledge like FranktheTank.

Presidents of universities, legislators and the general public don't follow this stuff nearly as closely as you would believe. So guess who they turn to for advice? Professor Carstensen.

I do agree with a prior poster. Uconn's options: Get into a power 5 conference (not likely at all), focus on basketball exclusivley (Big East option), remain in an AAC-football lite conference. The $30 million gap between the P5 schools and the G5 is huge, and is more than the entire AD budgets of most schools!

Finally, for those who need to level personal attacks at me, if I've offended you, I'll edit my post. I don't want any enemies. Sometimes I guess I editorialize a little bit, but I'm pretty conscientious about quoting accurately and using reputable sources.
