Kinda surprised UC didnt get swept by UH. Its baseball though, with so many games, upsets are very sure to happen. Still encouraged for the future of the program though, what with finally getting the program back to full scholarships and an actual recruiting budget this year. Gonna be a few years at least before UC could be competitive in what is shaping up to be a pretty solid baseball league.

We certainly aren't that bad of a baseball conference, either. Houston and Louisville are Top 15 teams, and UCF is receiving votes in most and ranked in some polls after a disastrous start to the season.

Tulane is having a terrible season but we did manage to take 2x3 this past weekend from Wichita State, a solid team.

I think Houston, Tulae, and ECU may-be the top baseball programs for the AAC.

If the game was played on paper there would be no point in playing at all. Cincy was the better team on the field that day.

I'm not really sure how you would leave UCF out of that mix. They have qualified for 2 regionals in the last 3 years and will more than likely make it 3 of 4 years. Houston, Tulane and ECU have combined for 1 in the last 3 years. Historically you are correct, but historically Tulane also played in the Sugar and Rose bowls and even declined the Rose bowl at one point.

Coogs started the season with a bang, but have sure slacked in the past two weeks. The two blowouts at Cincy, though, gives some hope that some scarlet blood is still pumpin'.

We're obviously given up too much ground to have a shot at winning the AAC, so I'm just hoping we do enough to keep a decent shot at hosting a Regional.

Add to that UCF is currently ranked and the AAC standings leader. And they sit in talent-rich Florida. They are already one of the upper echelon AAC baseball programs.

USF has been a solid program over the years as well. They will be back. UCF was a solid program for a long time, and is just starting to rebuild that. I think the American can be a really nice Baseball conf, with 3 to 5 teams playing in post season most years.
