Personal Opinion: I don't believe UCF will play UC the next two seasons either
Here's what I see happening.

It's apparent the league is doing some scheduling magic to get as many of the top teams into the CFP conversation as possible.

With the AAC going to a 2 divisions, 12 team league next year, I can see a very good argument for Aresco to restart the team "cycle" in which teams from division A rotate 3 of the teams from division B home and away every 2 years.

What do I mean?

If the so called cycle is reset next season with the inclusion of Navy, and UCF is (very likely) in a division opposite from UC, if left to statistics, UCF and UC have a 50/50 chance of having each other on their schedule, and if we aren't on the schedule come spring 2015 we won't see each other until at least 2017.

I think if left to the machinations of Aresco, he has much to gain by delaying the perceived battle at the top of the league for as long as possible.

I don't think it would be done on purpose. It is hard to tell who will end up being the better teams even looking out a year in advance. This isn't the MWC where it gets really top heavy. We have a bunch of teams that can easily be on top. Nobody in the league is getting a team full of 4 and 5 star players that can completely separate themselves.

Whenever this meeting happens, I want it Thursday or Saturday night at 7 or 8pm.

Going to be rocking at either stadium in that environment.

It very well may be that the only time UC-UCF play would be in a CCG... If we were both undefeated, that would be pretty good.

It is a shame that UC and UCF do not play in the regular season. For our upstart league It gives the league an opportunity for a game that presents some buzz. At least for the time being, the recent success of UC and UCF have distinguished their selves from the rest of the league. I am aware that this can change quickly, however, I would be cautious about predictions that use star ratings of recruits see Pittsburgh success in the Big East. This league needs to strike while the iron is hot and provide a marquee game with the (at least) perceived powers of the league.

Not if the degregulation of the CCG rule passes. Then there will be no reason for divisions, and thus, there won't be any.

Nor for Tulsa or Tulane, any chance we can fix that?

Can we please stop taking pot shots at our current and future members? You, and others like you, making low blows at them solves nothing.

USF is an established member of the AAC with clear values and expectations, Tulane and Tulsa have their own, if not as readily apparent

It's not my fault their (USF's) entire campus reeks of cow manure. 05-stirthepot

New league. Get rid of Tulsa, Tulane and add BYU.
