According to verbalcommits, we've offered two 2017 prospects from Genesis Academy (boarding school in Lynchburg, VA): 6'6" 225 F Trey Carver and 6' 160 PG Billy Thomas.

Trey Carver highlights (freshman season of HS):

Looks like a bigger Lester Wilson with more developed skill set. But maybe not as muscular/explosive of a leaper.

If that's his Freshman ability, I imagine he will go major or to a more reputable mid-major. Good to offer!

RE: Recruits for 2015-2016
According to Shun Williams of OTRHoops, we have offered Oak Hill Academy PG, Terrance Phillips. The 5'10" 170lb Phillips is a coveted lead guard who has garnered offers from Auburn, WKU, St. Joseph, Georgia State, and now ETSU. The cool thing about Phillips is that he has NBA bloodlines: His brother, Brandon Jennings, is the speedster starting PG for the Detroit Pistons. Of the PG's we've offered thus far, I like Phillips the best.

Offers:

Future150Eval:

ESPN Insider Eval.:
Point guard who understands what it means to run the show on both ends of the floor. Has speed and quickness alike and can create tempo on demand. Unique ability to make good decisions with ball even when in first gear. Passer and facilitator first and foremost...

Check out this kid's vision:

Love the offer. If we ever sign a starter from Oak Hill i would lose it. Noticing a trend in offers to players who we probably don't have a shot with, compared to no offer at all. I don't hate it... "You'll never know the answer if you don't ask"

I agree. Phillips appears to be a Pigram-level talent. I don't want to get my hopes up, especially with Bruce Pearl pursuing him.

RE: Recruits for 2015-2016
Considering ETSU will be losing 4 players for next year, I would like for the Bucs to sign 2 forwards and 2 guards for 2105. Right now my leading candidates would be: Antone Warren 6'9" and Gerron Scissum 6'7" at Forwards and Terrance Phillips 5'10" and either Andre Fox 6'3" or Trey Phills 6'2" at guard. I hope we can land Jaylen Barford in the class of 2016.

The founder of Genesis Academy is also Karl Overstreet's trainer. If Overstreet has a good experience, it may play in the Bucs' favor.

Quinn signed with SOCON rival Samford. I was hoping we'd land Quinn. I think he has the length and athleticism to be an exceptional forward. I guess we'll find out next season.

I hope the best for Quinn, but I also hope Banks, Overstreet and Jurkin make him cry, given the opportunity, now that's he "with the enemy".

According to jucojunction.com we're showing interest in 6' PG Elisha Kidd. Liberty and Cleveland State are also showing interested in the Beckley, W.V. native - no offers indicated.

RE: Recruits for 2015-2016
Verbalcommits reports that we've offered 6'3" 170 lb. guard E.J. Eaves of Dodge City Community College. Eaves averaged 19 ppg, 3 rpg, and 2 apg in his freshman season at Dodge City. JUCO basketball in Kansas is regarded as one of the best juco conferences in the country, so I'm sure he's played with and against high-level players.

Evaluation: The scoring guard finished with 15 points in the championship game for the South Carolina Ravens doing it on a variety of drives to the basket that culminated with short jumpers and lay ups. Eaves is a more of a scoring guard that has the ability to play the point. With his performance this week in Myrtle Beach, he could see a rise in his recruiting from low to mid majors.

Excellent! From what I gather Hooker's a ball hawk and a solid point guard.

I need to check out some footage, but the size and general description suggests a 4yr replacement for Jaylen Riley. Welcome, Tyler!

Don't forget Mr. Bates, the 5th year. He may not have much experience with the real thing, but he's got the most length on the team.
