A couple of those comments are interesting:

"Intangibles: Comes with some maturity and character red flags, according to several NFL scouts and coaches. Inconsistent personal discipline."

I don't recall ever hearing anything as an issue with Jimmie. I don't think I ever heard about him getting arrested, getting suspended, etc.

"Has an injury history over his career."

I don't recall him missing many games and he played the start of last season with a cast on his hand and might have had a broken foot all season, and yet he still played at a high level

In an analysis on NFL.com one guy put the following as the first sentence:

He has a child.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/j...id=2543741

Apparently this is the maturity and character red flag.

He starts others like Desir and Carr with married and having children.

You know how many illegitimate children drat picks and nfl players have, a lot. I'm not sure if that's the red flag, but there has to be more than that, even though Jimmie never showed to be immature on interviews and public appearances.

I think Turner left NIU with 3 kids.

A few years ago I saw a summary of the UCF football team, if I recall correctly there was over 100 illegitimate kids and about the same number of arrests. It's a different culture.

the cast on his hand and the foot injury he just had are the injury concerns.

As for maturity, could be off the field stuff, but he also showed at times that he had trouble containing his emotions on the field, some silly personal fouls.

Although he played with the cast and still played well and even got an interception with it. I can see where the foot injury could be a concern though.

Doesn't Ward seem like the kind of shocking pic the Bears would make in the first round. Maybe not, because of the heat that will be on them after last year's first round pick some would consider didn't work out. Its a big need for the Bears, wouldn't completely shock me.

Jake Long didn't work out? Didn't he start from day 1?

I think he means Shea McClellin from two years ago. If he does mean Jake Long, someone is living under a rock.

You guys are all crazy. Jake Long plays for the Rams. His brother Chris plays for the Bears...and he was a hell of a pick. McClellin was a bad pick based on the scheme the Bears run. We'll see if he's worth a damn when they play him at OLB this year.

So much I would love to say here but I'll hold my comments to the following:

1) how is having ONE kid a red flag? If anything, he's taking ownership for that one kid...

2) I'm sorry fellas.. I'm 34, relatively successful, and had my share of ass... I feel lucky and blessed to be VD free and no kids despite some shennanigans.. anyone who has lived the bachelor lifestyle could have snuck ONE accident by the goalie..trust me - it is one the purest forms of economics - risk/return & cost/benefit.. (and I'm a relatively good guy from a middle class family, two parent household so let's stop with the "its a culture thing" - it's a money and access to ***** thing!)

3) Hoping JW has a great career and is a bit smarter..esp with NFL dollars a foot...just looked this up on Turner... sad man

http://straightfromthea.com/2012/03/06/a...as-photos/

You'd think, from what teammates who knew him have shared with me, this guy was the verge of QUITTING football when he was behind Hammock on the depth charts.... he makes his life monetarily successful but he's creating an utter mess for himself...dude get a fn vasectomy..freeze some sperm for future use (if desired) and have fun!!!! Unreallllllll...sad 03-hissyfit

That fact isn’t lost on the Saints brass apparently, as Ward becomes yet just one more player on the defensive side of the ball recently (I told you all about Georgia Tech OLB Jeremiah Attaochu and Oklahoma CB Aaron Colvin the other day) revealed to have made a 2nd visit with Saints officials out on Airline Drive in Metairie. It proves that despite the notion that that the Saints are ‘expected’ to draft for team needs at #27, they’re keeping any and all of their options out on the proverbial table.

Can't wait for this draft to finally happen. The endless speculation is overkill. Then again, it will be once less thing to talk about on this board. Long summer ahead.

Noooo....Cowboys will suck forever as long as J Jones continues to micromanage everything. Jimmie deserves to be on a good team.
LOL I'm happy for wherever he lands. The kid is a great player & deserves a chance.

That leaves out the Bears.

Ha ha...very funny Smartazz lol I think things are going to turn around for the Bears. Firing Lovie was the best thing they could have done. Trestman is interesting. Looking forward to seeing what he does.
