RE: ACC network a SEC clone?

I dont believe the Big 12, with its current configuration has the markets, outside of Texas, to support a profitable network of its own. It does have a few football crazy schools, but its college basketball that primarily drives a network, because of the long winter months. Now, there are some schools that the Big 12 could grab to gain market share for a potential network, like Uconn and Memphis. But that move does absolutely nothing for Big 12 football.

Next season the B1G, SEC, and Pac 12 will have one.
The ACC's is little more than a 'perhaps someday' deal.
But that doesn't even matter. It isn't the existence of a conference network that matters......it is having one that generates revenue to allow the conference to financially keep up.
I suspect in 3 years we will still be hearing about possible things that might happen and could even possible add revenue.....maybe.

RE: ACC network a SEC clone?
I wouldn't be surprised if the ONLY network which turns a big profit is the BTN.
I know, I know, the sun rises and sets over the SEC, yada, yada... doesn't mean that they will turn a big profit though - especially after ESPN takes their cut. (say a couple million per year/team)
Pac-12 isn't even available to all customers in their own footprint, and is currently LOSING money.
So I'd say the ACC will have some sort of network, but it may be more for show than for dough...

Football No, But if They add those 2 along with Cincinnati and BYU, They stabilize a major Basketball Conference and add a couple of Decent Football schools and make 14 like the ACC, SEC and B1G. That would help say the LHN become the Big 12 Network.
