Does anyone "get" the Sprint FRAMILY commercial?
That might be the weirdest commercial series I have ever seen.

It has to be related to the book they are holding. My wife noticed it but yeah it is a reach to say the least.

The plan is basically the same thing as the old MCI friends and family plan for long distance right?

The commercial must work... We have a thread about it.

For the commercial to work wouldn't you have to open a new Sprint account or change an existing plan to Sprint not open a thread questioning whether it makes sense?

Sprint and Tmobile have sub-par networks....No wonder they have to resort to gimmicks.

My work issued phone is Sprint and the poor coverage renders the phone useless.

it's saying that you can have anyone on your "plan" not just your actual family. so the "framily" is made up of a bunch of random people and a hamster

You are right about the unlimited data plan. I have had Sprint for about 11 years now. Living in DFW the coverage is good most anywhere here and along the interstates. Get off the grid just a bit (like Pickwick) and it gets real spotty.

I had unlimited on Verizon for years and now I'm on a 6gb loyalty plan. It's expensive, but I rarely have coverage issues.

I keep thinking about switching but Sprint just isn't there yet.

I doubt the Memphis Tigers fan base is their main target...

?? of course it is, as is the KY fan base, and the UT fan base, and the UCLA fan base, and every other fan base (and non fan base) of every thing in the country.

This isn't sport's related marketing. This is marketing in general.

I've been saying the same thing for the past month!!! This commercial just pisses me off. I don't get it at all and frankly, it's a little creepy.

RE: Does anyone "get" the Sprint FRAMILY commercial?
the commercial is trying to show that you can have ANYONE on your group of 10. It doesn't have to be another family member like most group plans are, AND each member can even have a separate bill. By them using a diverse cast of completely unrelated people, even a hamster, they are trying to show you that anyone can join the group. Even the combined name Friends+Family=Framily.

I personally like the commercial as it's different, quirky and holds attention. However, I don't think it's effective in selling the product as can be seen from discussion in this thread, and I'm sure many people are not convinced to switch providers or join Sprint because of it.
