Hopefully all of us can reverse the trend, really anticipating this coming FB season for UH, to see what attendance will be with the new FB stadium.

I'm sorry to say SMU attendance will probably dip a bit this year, in June's last season. Our fanbase is really beat down and losses to Baylor, TCU and TAMU in the first 4 games will not help with any momentum.

I anticipate SMU making a break through once SMU's leadership comes to it senses and gets rid of June...Pony fans will return in mass once they get on a winning track, just like th BB team, which is experiencing a renaissance

Louisville averaged more for basketball per-game (21,282) than they drew in football for an entire season (20,255).

A mere 13 schools from outside the cartel averaged above 30k per game.

Congratulations to BYU, ECU, UCF, USF, Cincinnati, UConn, Navy, Army, Air Force, Boise, SDSU, Fresno, and Hawaii for getting it done.

Here's hoping Memphis, Houston, Temple, Tulsa, Tulane, and SMU can wrangle a steady increase.

I'm hoping we'll see a jump this season with better quality competition and some old rivals back on the schedule.

Biggest thing I took from this is Uconn was very close to cincys attendance even though they had a poor season and we had a decent season. I hope this renovation can get us averaging 37,000 on a regular basis

Our avg attendance was 31.7 k in a 35k stadium. That is at almost 91% full. I think that is a pretty decent stat. How many programs in the AAC would salivate at 91%?

These are so useless, no where close to actual butts in the seat. That is what ultimately matters.

Probably Temple and USF would salivate the most. You are correct though, Cincy always looks packed on tv. Great atmosphere!

I always look at it from a difference perspective. Imagine how crappy the following school's attendance would be if they played in a G5 conference. A lot of the attendance for those schools are from fans from traveling fan bases (I know in the case of Northwestern they have a ton of OSU, Michigan and Wisconsin fans in the house when those schools travel there):

Boston College 33K
Colorado 38K
Duke 26K
Kansas 37K
Northwestern 39K
Syracuse 38K
Vanderbilt 35K
Wake Forest 28K
Washington State 29K

True, but the numbers serve as a tool for comparison with other programs.

Yes, so the question becomes, do all schools equally cook the books. I would argue that the P5s cook them more based on a quick scan and their obsession with perception + they have the extra revenue to give away tickets. BC and Wake's numbers are absurd.

Some schools way buckets of tickets, others count tickets sold. When you see attendance announced that is below the number of season tickets, then you know the school is counting butts. So much of this is apples to oranges.

"Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech and N.C. State all go by the number of tickets sold and distributed. Wake Forest uses the number of tickets scanned plus a count of students that show up. And North Carolina's announced attendance is merely an estimate from the press box."

At least the rest of the teams try, but UNC WTF. Carolina Way. I believe they wait to see NCSU and ECU number and tac on 500.
Only reason they get away with it and no other team does is b/c ACC commissioner is a Tar Heel.

Yes all these number are fishy, but only one is a flat out lie.
