Belmont To Be Full Member?
The Belmont Bruins have joined the Horizon League as an affiliate in Men's Soccer. There is also an agreement to play 6 mbb teams in a home/home over the next 4 years. Belmont will also play the other "major" sports of WBB, Baseball, Softball and Women's Soccer. The thinking is this is a "trial" run to see if there is compatibility between the two entities (Belmont and the Horizon League). The games against various teams is a litmus test of competition and travel.

I think after the four year agreement is up, there will be a decision by Belmont to either join the HL in all-sports or part ways including dissolving the affiliation of men's soccer.
