I was so frustrated by the constant moaning and groaning that I almost decided to no longer visit these boards. In a last attempt to maintain my interest, I created this thread to request that people only positive JMU news and notes. If people get snarky, I will just go away for good. Hopefully the thread will continue to grow in size to match the "New Conference Rumor" thread.

JMU softball swept UVA in a double header yesterday. So they are undefeated this season against UVA, UNC, and VT.

Port City Brewing Company is owned by a JMU grad. They make good beer and are now available at 4 stands at Nats Park!

Just renewed my Duke Club and will be renewing season football tickets!

Another one of my favorite students will be attending JMU in the fall. I think that makes about 10 in the 12 years I've been teaching. Not bad for a small high school up on Long Island

There is a screening of "Lincoln" at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse on May 21 with JMU's own Dr. David Dillard as a keynote speaker and JMU grad Christopher Boyer (who played R.E. Lee in the film).

Proceeds benefit JMU's College of Arts and Letters.

It should be fun.

I used the "21-16" line for the millionth time as leverage against a Hokie colleague at work.
She hates it more and more every time I speak it.

I heard JMU being brought up at work today at my work in North Carolina... Very cool.

Unfortunately it was regarding how an App state alum was saying he's glad JMU isn't joining the sunbelt. The other guy responded by saying where's JMU?

I was happy to explain how we hope to aspire to be CAA champs this year and I feel really really good about that.
