Karl Benson sleeps in Georgia Southern Pajamas.

The SBC doesn't allow schools to bid on the Softball tournament, so I doubt the Baseball tournament is bid.

If Softball were bid, it would be played at UL every year since they pack their park with over 10,000 total paid attendance for the full tourney.

Louisiana no doubt could and would own the bidding war unless a school wanted it enough to take a loss, a huge loss. That is for both baseball and softball.

The fly in that ointment is that a school could lose it's shirt with an early exit.

Sounds like you are appointing Benson as King of Georgia Southern.
He should fit in well with the Queen of Georgia Southern.

Wrong, so why even make stuff up? Why act like you know what is really happening, when if fact you have no clue?

Each sport championship has a max bid that schools can put in ... for that exact reason, so it's not at the same site every year.

Come on people, think before you start running your mouth.

Or they could have just read your post on the subject earlier in the thread.

RE: GS to host baseball conference tourny...
I thought our AD did say we had the SB baseball tourney in 2016-- I guess either I misheard him or maybe he meant 2016-17. Oh well-- at least we got the volleyball tourney in 2015-16.

I would imagine with the baseball tournies at South Al this year and Troy next year it was time for it to go one of the western schools in the league year after next.
