New MAC website up - nothing new... Ugh.
Thoughts?

I'm not sure why they ask for suggestions and then do nothing new.

RE: New MAC website up
MAC website claims as new:

• Improved design: Big bold photos, clean & user friendly
• 100% mobile – video streaming & livestats will allow fans to keep up with #MACtion anywhere
• Deeper social media integration throughout the site
• LIVE MAC Scoreboard with Enhanced Live Stats
• Embedded ESPN3 Video Player
• Exclusive on-demand and live video content via the MAC Digital Network

We already had all these things with XOS Digital.

There was already a mobile app, there was already embedded ESPN3, there was already live stats, there was twitter embedded next to espn3 app. Where now?
Year 1 and 2 the XOS app streamed live games, then the MAC went backwards..

Never a Roku app... Discouraging.

Nothing new at all folks, just hype.

JGUYMAC asks for suggestions, doesn nothing new, hypes product that offers nothing innovative or new.

So frustrating.

I cant get half the pages to load on my iPhone and I also see the old non-ESPN videos require flash.

The larger pictures are nicer along with the clean look but all I really care about is the ability to stream live video on my iPhone.

I think it looks good. A lot 'cleaner' and 'sleeker' than the old one.

As far as I can tell, the mobile app hasn't changed. I hope they have plans for a total re-do this summer. The current one is so clumsy and hard to navigate, and it simply lacks a lot of content even the old website had. Maybe they will just trash it and rely on the mobile browser site instead. When bringing the site up on your mobile browser is way better than the dedicated app, the app is useless.

The success of the new website will be measured in how functional it is during the season.

Does anyone go to the MAC site for anything other than the streaming?

I agree. The site is 100 times better in terms of the design.

Good point. When you can get MAC results and stats from other sources well before the MAC's own site, it's just kind of sad.

I hope this is a turning point for the MAC, and they do stuff that is really leading the way instead of doing stuff online because they think they should.

The MAC site should be the first place MAC results and news appear, not updated a day or two later. If it's not real time, it's a waste of time. Glossy and slick is only good for a first impression. The substance will tell the real story of the MAC's commitment to the web. We've been down this road before.

That's important too. Need to have good write ups where you can find info not seen on mainline sites.
