Seriously, I get the established coach and decently renovated arena, but you guys have to be dropping off paper bags with cash, this is getting ridiculous.
If you're not dropping off bags of cash then you're losing. End of discussion. Every single school that has serious aspirations of long-term success is bending the rules. This crosses over public/private and dumb/smart school boundaries.
My hope is that AAC schools just don't take it outside of the "paper bags of cash" line of work. I don't want to see fake classes and drugs.
Everyone in the so called p5 conferences has been playing dirty for decades.

RE: SMU Fans
Back to McQuaid - he is a lights out shooter that really fills a need for us in '15, along with the PG we have from Compton (Sedrick Barefield).
McQuaid is on AAU Team Texas which features some 4 and 5 star talent like Gransdstaff, Elijah Thomas (SMU lean), Jawun Evans, et al. They will be playing in the EYBL Tourney against Texas Titans, which feature a few 5 star players that I hope will also sign with SMU, specifically D.J. Hogg, Tyler Davis and/or Djery Baptiste. King McClure already verballed to Baylor.

McQuaid is a hell of a get for the Mustangs. SMU's 2nd commit for the 2015/16 recruiting class. California PG, Sedrick Barefield being the first. Because of that I've been hearing that SMU/Jawun Evans are lukewarm at best. . . If Elijah Thomas commits to SMU, don't be surprised if Elijah's best friend from 2nd grade follows. That friend would be SG, Admon Gilder, who I believe is #47 in the Rivals top basketball prospects for 2015/16.

There's absolutely no reason to hate on SMU and make accusations. Congrats guys, I'm getting a little jelly.
It's a freakin joke, relax pal. "hating on" give me a break, this is a program that has done nothing and they are beating out teams left and right, it's crazy.
This coming from a fan of a basketball program that shut down for a season due to POINT SHAVING. As far as your comment about the "bags of cash" SMU spent "bags of cash" when they hired Larry Brown. You guys need to spend on a basketball coach. Or else, Tulane will remain a constant in the 250-300+ rpi.

Well I switched my allegiance to Kansas just before the post, does my opinion matter now?
Oh and I was 1 years old and living 2000 miles from NOLA when the point shaving occurred, but I suppose that doesn't matter in your mind.....and yes I am all for TU spending the money to bring in a big time coach. Unfortunately, I don't get to make the decision, just like you had nothing to do with SMU's hiring of Brown.

I was 9 when the Death Penalty occurred and yet I always find myself having to respond to those type of attacks. Just comes with the territory of being a fan I think.

RE: SMU Fans
Reports out there that former Texas A&M dual-threat quarterback Matt Davis, who was most recently at Tyler JC, will be joining the SMU Mustangs next season. Davis was a four-star coming out of Klein Forest High School in Houston and was the 15th ranked player in the state of Texas.
