I don't know....I think Pastner was still making more plus worked at a couple of elite programs.

I think he's a good coach and motivator, but doesn't seem to be a great recruiter. Got nothing but 2 stars and JC players to come to USM and Morehead State. Don't see him being able to recruit Memphis talent.

It must really irritate UT-K to be the only preeminent P5 school playing second fiddle in-state in a major sport to a public non P5 school.

That's true. I recall his inspriational recollection about going to the Sweet Sixteen as a walk on and later as a video coordinator.

Also, Pastner made $200k as an assistant at Memphis. USM hired Tyndall at $500K.

500k? That's what I get for believing something on Volnation. You better set them straight. Now I wish we'd gone after him. Would have saved him the embarrassment of getting beat by our less qualified coach.
