I'm curious. What exactly was happening on the football field when this photo was taken? We got fans looking in one direction and fans looking the opposite way.

One of our posters has as his sig something like:
Fired up! Ready to go!
That says it all for me!

I am sure she was more excited by Big Blue or the Cheerleaders then the game. Which everybody else is watching.
I should know I have 2 right around her age.

Not sure what was happening on the field..... but my daughter saw Big Blue walking around... and that was her reaction.

I know, right? Next thing you know they'll be taking fingerprints and DNA samples from Alger's office so they can find out who he has been talking to.

Anyway, I'm definitely excited for FBS football.

No 78, wont be me. I respect the school. I think its a beautiful campus. My son has many friends from there. He has no angst towards them as i do. IN my day, JMU was Madison college. Teachers thing. When they went coed, those accepted went there because they did not get accepted at UVA TECK or W&L. But they still felt those schools made the mistake. By going to JMU, which is near uva/tek, they would be first cousins to the big boys. It was put best in an earlier post, they exhibit an "unwarranted elitist and condescending attitude".(i paraphrased). The rest of us proletariat went to vcu or odu. glad i chose the latter. And in nearly all the message boards they usually sling the mud first. So any purple/gold you get from me will be ECU pirate booty. They have always given ODU a fair shake and mutual respect.

Yes indeed I'm excited. Thinking about going to NCState game! Justanodufan has a sig line about our Monarchs only winning 4 games, and the fan reaction. I kept thinking surely more wins than that, so I checked the cbsncaacollegefootballrankings from 2013-2014. We should beat HU, EMU, UTEP, and FIU. I'm trying to come up with at least six wins. Help me see who else we can and will beat, please! Just going off the rankings, so, don't shoot me! I know we would also beat UAB, & S.Miss, but they're not scheduled. Really cool fact is, we have FBS conference foes guaranteed for all the future!

WKU could be winnable. They only beat Georgia St by 16 last year :)

La Tech is winnable and maybe FAU.

They win one of those 3 and that's 5 wins and maybe an upset somewhere else.

Looking forward to the games. And hopefully the son will start enjoying them more and more. It might be more difficult this year to keep him in his seat though. Hopefully we won't be leaving early from many games.

I see that now! LaTek was 4-8, ranked 99th one spot ahead of us, and FAU 6-6, ranked 81st.
NCst was 3-9, 97th maybe winnable, but the hard part is Vanderbilt 9-4, 27th, Marshall 10-4, 33rd, Rice 10-4, 46th, MTSU 8-5, 66th, WKU 8-4, 72nd.
