This. I am sorry folks. I wasn't even thinking "drug" tests. I assumed that issue had been dealt with and nipped in the bud- bad choice of words.

Isn't one failed drug test for a player just a warning not the half season suspension variety- so who's to say we would ever even find out who failed?

Usually not the school. Usually the coach because they are all micro-managers.

At UVA back in the day Danny Wilmer used to feed information to his buddies about recruiting. Al Groh cut that off pretty quickly and made a lot of enemies doing so. Those guys didn't give a crap that Wilmer wasn't retained as an assistant. They were pissed that their flow of information was cutoff.

Funny story I know about. Duke insiders used to get a ton of recruiting information fed to them. Coach K tried to figure out who the leak was so he could stop it but he never could. Shortly after Chris Collins got the Northwestern job the information stopped flowing.

Danny Wilmer was the man for getting juicy info. He was a fun guy to talk too!
Yep. He can tell some good Ronald Curry stories too.

if you didn't think people in the duke club/athletics/administration didn't read this board guess again - they're very aware of it.

Honest question...

If it's JMU policy to give a warning or some sort of other minor discipline for a typical first time drug test failure, but not to publicly disclose the violation, does anyone here have a problem with someone with inside information posting the the person's name, violation, etc., on this board?

That would require a level of cunning and ruthlessness I wouldn't expect from our admin.

Pretty sure we learned with Justin Thorpe that that is, in fact, the policy. And I would have a HUGE problem with the scenario you just described.

They don't even say the name of a person who fails a second test. To this day when referencing Nation's suspension they would say, for what is widely believed to be a failed second drug test. You know he was suspended and you know why, but they don't confirm why. Privacy laws.

Who said anyone's "name " or that "a DRUG TEST" was failed

Some people on here are literally just like admin, worried about the wrong things, I am smart enough to know if I am breaking any privacy laws.

I'm actually glad people in AD and Bball office are aware of this, maybe then they can clean up the pig pen instead of trying to throw a horrible mascot court design over it.

It was a hypothetical.

I always assumed press releases and social media outlets were the only real legit info given from Universities. All others are leaks. But it hard to not have leaks in college working and cohabiting with so many students who have access.

Keep posting barkers. Yes, your posts usually showcase the bad in our programs, but I think the sunlight is good for JMU.

Don't worry barkers, even if the JMU admin fingers you, JMU does not hold anybody accountable, hint, hint, Jeff Bourne has nothing to do with any shortfall in the Athletic Dept, he is just the Athletic Director you know...c'mon.

Id say we have all been "fingered" by the JMU admin at this point!
