You mean kind of like trying to unionize the VW plant in Tennessee was national news? Like that?

I mean, the fact that a liberal hack group that's demonized businesses about unions DOESN"T want one "in their back yard" isn't news to you?

Gee, what a surprise. How many water buckets have you carried today? Still not getting tired?

C'mon dude...VW employs a couple more people than MM! 01-wingedeagle

Do you really think that's the newsworthy part here?
Or is that the only part that you could fit into your Obama water bucket?

Media Matters has 115 employees per their 2010 tax return. There's no news here...yet. I've already said we don't know what's going to happen yet. When it does, then you can grab the pitchforks.

Until then...kindly shove that waterbucket up your ass. 03-lol

It's not the size, it is the hypocrisy. It would be like Hebrew National starting to use pork in their hotdogs.

RE: Media Matters resists unionization
An update. The original petition to the NLRB was pulled.
http://www.nlrb.gov/case/05-RC-127123

A second request has since been submitted.

And MM says they are not against unionization.

Quote:But Media Matters Vice President Angelo Carusone said they’re open to unionization and that there’s more to the story.

“People have that right, so yea, of course they do. It’s a choice,” Carusone said when asked if Media Matters was open to unionization. “What’s guided us the entire time is making sure the process is really clean.”

Carusone said the National Labor Review Board raised concerns about the description of the first petition, which was withdrawn. The second petition has been filed, and Carusone said they are at this point waiting for a preliminary hearing.

“What we’re trying to do is respect the process and all the people involved,” Carusone said. “Trying to get us to say something one way or another is not fair to a lot of people participating, and I think it’s premature.”

Responding to questions about the original card check, Media Matters spokesperson Jess Levin said that MMFA is simply ensuring that they're following the law.

"We must ensure that we comply with all necessary laws and procedures," she said in a statement. "We respect the rights of our employees to organize and will work through this process."

Most companies would say they treat their employees fairly, listen to the complaints and issues, have an HR dept with an open door policy and so on. You can bet that at this moment management is giving a reach around to all the people who have been labeled at union agitators. I'm against unions, but I'll make an exception in this case. How about you, Tom? Think unionizing would be a good thing for MM?
