Relax. White is not going anywhere until after next season. He's already signed his renewal contract and is much more concerned with showing integrity than most of the people in his profession.

Very good. Probably better than this past years team that won 29 games.

Well that bodes well. A lot of these guys bolt right before rebuild time.

RE: Tennessee now focused on LA Tech's White
If Tennessee is offering White and he doesn't take the job then he is nuts. White is no Shaka Smart, so he had better not play that dumb game, because if he falters at all in a weak conference like CUSA then his career maybe relegated to lower level conferences for a long time. And for you guys thinking that La. Tech is a better job than Tennessee; you guys need to stop using dope. Hell La. Tech is not even a better basketball job than LSU and the LSU job is not as good as the Tennessee job. The Tennessee job, despite their nutty fans, is a top job with very good facilities and attendance.

Should be a stronger conference next season with ECU leaving

He would be crazy if he didn't.

I would be more shocked if he stayed than if he went to Tennessee. While Tennessee is a good job, I think with the team he has returning he could have maybe parlayed it into a bigger payday or more glamorous program after this upcoming season.

His best chance to get to a Top 10-15 job is to do the Tennessee thing and then bolt after three seasons. No way he goes from La Tech to say Indiana two years from now.

He's yet to win a NCAA game, heck even make the dance. He needs to leave, what if he had failed to lead La Tech to the dance again?

He's doing the right thing.

A source is telling me that Mike White will be the next coach at Tennessee. Things can change, but he looks like the guy.

He's probably making the appropriate decision financially. We couldn't bring the money to the table they can.

Too bad Rice already hired Mike Rhoades, he's been Shaka Smart's right hand man for awhile now.

So you want one of the guys formerly of Bruce Pearl's staff that got in a lot of trouble for having a cookout with a recruit?
