Surely people aren't dumb enough to vote for Democratic senators. Surely that isn't the case.

I don't think the republicans lose this seat, no matter the primary outcome. But there are other things being voted on that day, and letting the Dems think they have a chance in the high profile races (Senator and Governor) can affect those, along with the momentum that comes with a close call.

republicans sweep the field unless we screw up . . . by nominating another todd akin in GA.

There will be media traps in all GOP races across the country. I don't remember a time when Democrats were this desperate.

GA is a problem, as we have discussed. I also think we should support mcconnell in KY, although I pretty much hate him. that's another possible loss.

I don't think the GOP is going to lose in Georgia. The libertarians would like that, but I don't think that is a reality.

No, I was just making a snide stab at the social liberals. 04-cheers

Bottom line. We have to take control of the Senate. Nothing matters more.

She can't hold Sanford's jock.

It started off good, but once in office it was downhill. Her Paris Air Show Junket lost me. ( http://chronicle.augusta.com/news/2011-0...ore-127000 ) She has had several other extravagant junkets.

She is too closely tied to big pharma and big healthcare.

She did nothing when we got close to passing open/constitutional carry and came up just short.

She has done nothing on school choice when the state got VERY close to passing it until the GOP delegation from Spartanburg County killed it. Spartanburg might as well be Berkeley, California when it comes to big education. Tons of small colleges sucking down huge money. Seven (!!!!!!!) school districts. That's seven district offices. Seven sets of administrators. And so on. I should denote nearly all of the GOP delegation out of Spartanburg has ties to education ... in particular Mike Forrester who works for Spartanburg Community College while being a state rep (no conflict of interest there!). It is my understanding he has some heretofore unreported ethics violations along those lines.

Her response to the ancient SC Department of Revenue's infrastructure getting hacked (and thus leaking EVERYBODY's social/payment/address info who payed online) was to get Experian credit monitoring ... who then themselves got hacked and leaked all the same info AGAIN.

The budgets have been record breaking nearly every year and she merely offers largely token line item vetoes which are invariably overridden as the RINOs pool together and agree to defend each other's pork.

She is not willing to raise hell with the Legislature to get over the finish line when it matters. Sanford was. And that is all the difference in the world around here. I prefer Sanford with a stipend of tax money for hookers and Argentinian models before I'd take Haley.

I pretty much agree with you on all those points.

I met her, personally. She is quite prepossessing.
