The Eye2's always felt too big for me. The head seemed way too big. I've been playing Titlist DCI's for 16 years now.

Never really hit Pings. I have a set of Cobra S3 blades right now that I love. I havent played in a year and half and went to Galloway a couple of times last week. My ballstriking was brutal ha I think I may need to invest in some easier to hit irons since I can't play as much as I used to.

I have a set of eye2 plus/no-plus that I have been using forever. They are super forgiving which is why I switched to them from blades when I stopped playing competitively and didn't have time to keep my game sharp anymore.

RE: Golf- Ping Beryllium Irons
I have the PING isi irons that I purchased at Edwin Watts in Memphis around 1997. Had the stiff Memphis shaft installed on them.
I love them and even though I keep trying to find an excuse to buy some new clubs, I really don't have a need to. From 5 iron down to PW they are money. Not so good on the longer irons but that's me.
PING Anser putter.
I have Adams RPM driver and 3 wood. The driver rarely gets out of the bag unless the fairway is 50 yards or wider.

I had a set of Ping Eye's as my first "real" set of clubs about 10 or so years ago.

RE: Golf- Ping Beryllium Irons
I used the Ping Zings for years and I loved them but one of the better players at my club came to watch me hitting shag balls one day and picked up one of my clubs and pointed out that the shaft was bent a little bit at the hosel, de-lofting the club several degrees. After that, I noticed that all of them were bent a little that way, but I kept playing them because they hit so well. I finally traded them when I got the fever for a new set of Clevelands a few years ago, but I was really attached to my Pings.
For what it's worth, I traded my R-11 driver last year for the new Calloway and I have been dissatisfied ever since. I will never trade or sell another driver or putter.

Isn't it amazing what those guys can see? I live next door to a golf pro, played on some Canadian Tours, Hooters Tour, and now trying to get on the Seniors Tour. We went out and hit some balls one day and all these years I thought I was hitting down on the ball correctly. He showed me one little trick and after about four visits to the driving range I could really spin the short irons and hit the mid irons like a rocket. He put a new shaft on my 3 wood which improved it dramatically. Now if we can find that same shaft to put on my driver I might be in business.

To shoot your lowest score. You borrow a friends driver, because you always hit someone else's driver better than yours. Buy a new set of irons, because you will practice some. Buy a new putter. You won't miss anything the first couple of weeks, because it doesn't know you yet.

RE: Golf- Ping Beryllium Irons
I bought some Ping Eye2 blue dots about 15 years ago. Loved them. I should never have traded them.
But that was back in my single days, when I could play all the golf I wanted.
These days, I'm playing with Ping copies because that's what I could afford when I started playing again.
