3. LSU 2003 Record: 12-1
The only real concern is over the early departures of QB Matt Mauck and WR Michael Clayton, but the defense comes back loaded for another national title run. Marcus Spears, Marquise Hill and Corey Webster could

these things kill me, they base them on how teams look at the moment? So basically who will be gone and who is coming back from the previous year's squad, and my guess would be also their recruiting rankings, which I also don't follow. Too early for me to even worry about pre-season football rankings, we are still kicking a$$ in basketball right now. :D

....and Auburn was #6 pre-season last year. I agree with MSU. these things aren't worth the paper they are printed on and anyone that follows them are fooling themselves.

Lighten up guys, it's just for fun. You guys are acting as if these rankings are written in stone. Take it for what it's worth.

I am taking them for what they are worth, nothing. Nothing really to lighten up about, not in a tizzy or anything and I don't take them seriously, hence the statement, these things kill me, just adding my 2 cents, I mean I guess it is something for fans of NCAA football only to talk about around the water cooler in the offseason. Hell I would not expect them to rank State higher than what they are, we won 2 games last year, but that season is finished and done.
