RE: NHL playoffs
Danny played his steady great game, hence the attempt to mess his 'deal' up there.

Pavel showed what talent is on that goal. I saw Sakic make a similar goal in person during the playoffs years ago, that's a sick bid for sure. Most people don't even try that, let alone bury it high. That was MONEY!

Gotta love Canadian tv production. (after Q got a fine for flipping off the ref in game 1)

The play where he made the defender fall over going the wrong way was more impresive to me, too bad the Wings couldn't score on it.

I'm always more impressed by a great effort, and individual play that ends up winning the game.

It's stuff like this that convinces me he is one of the best players in today's game:

In other playoff news, "chicken head" has the Nordalanche playing tough in the playoffs. Up 2-0 on the Wild.

Totally agree... I think Detroit had five penalties in the first period... No way the NHL would allow Boston to head out down 2-0.

Redwings kinda let their emotions get involved... They need their power play to start showing some signs of life or Boston won't fear taking cheap shots.

RE: NHL playoffs
It just wouldn't be the playoffs without Brendan Smith completely making an ass of himself in every way imaginable.

Seriously, what is it about the playoffs that makes this guy suck ass? He never seems to be in position, he's about as dumb as a box of rocks (see trying to fight the 6'9" Chara), and if memory serves me right, his passing is God awful. A decent first year, and since then, complete ****

It's not just the playoffs. It's all season. The guy is a liability all the time.

Give me a break. Just admit the Bs are heads and shoulders above the Wings, which is nothing to be ashamed about. Wings will certainly be much better next year.

The NHL is NOT the NBA, despite the NHL's commissioner.

Detroit has 5 goals in 4 games. They're probably lucky they weren't swept.

Detroit sucks. They wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs in the West.

Detroit would have finished in front of the Stars, no doubt in my mind.

The Wings whined all those years about the travel being in the West and they were mediocre this year.
